Opening this October for our 17th year of PYO Pumpkins in Hoo
We look forward to seeing you at North Kent’s favourite pumpkin patch in 2026
PYO PumpkinsÂ
We will be opening Saturday 10th October 2026 at 10am. Dates and times can be found on our ticketing website from the begining of September 2026.
We plant many different varieties, sizes and colours of pumpkin and squash.  There are lots of large orange pumpkins suitable for carving as well as small squash which are delicious to eat.  All our pumpkins are home grown and we have never bought any in. You may find small squash and some pumpkins already picked up and put in boxes for you to buy.  These are the most tasty varieties for eating, please ask if you need help choosing some to eat.
Badgers Field
This year we are in the Badgers Field again .  Halloween corn for decoration, provides a boundary to the field with Sunflowers providing food over winter for our wildlife.  Parking is on a grass sloped field with access through the entrance marquee to our amazing pumpkin field. Pushchairs and wheelchairs are welcome. We do have some grass pathways but please be aware it is a field and no purpose built paths are present.  Pumpkin picking is a family event and we welcome you all, but please remember that dogs are NOT allowed as many people eat their squash and pumpkins.  The ground can be uneven and muddy so please take care and wear suitable footwear for a field. Pumpkins and squash will be cut off their plants so no cutting tools are required but stalks can be prickly so gloves are advised.
We also have some amazing photo opportunities for 2026. Further details will be released on social media nearer our opening in October.
The entrance to the field is just off Stoke Road and will be signposted.  We operate a one way system, in at the top, park pointing down the hill and the exit will be signposted. Please drive slowly and carefully on the grass watching out for excited small children. Wheelbarrows are available for you to borrow and we suggest you bring strong bags to put your pumpkins in once you are back at your car as they can be wet or muddy.
